As part of its effort to move into the top-ten list of biopharmaceutical firms worldwide, Japanese pharma company Sosei Ltd. Co. has agreed to acquire all of the shares of privately held Arakis Ltd. (inflammatory diseases, cancer, and pain) for £106.5mm ($186.1mm) in cash and stock.
