Quest Diagnostics will acquire California-based diagnostic testing company Unilab Corp. for cash and stock worth a total of about $1.1bn (including $200mm of Unilab debt). Unilab stockholders have the option to exchange each Unilab share for $26.50 cash, 0.33 Quest common share, or a combination of cash and Quest stock.
