This article was originally published in The Tan Sheet

Executive Summary

Six Illinois counties begin electronically tracking pharmacy purchases of nonprescription products containing pseudoephedrine June 15 as part of a pilot program overseen by the Southern Illinois Enforcement Group. The Illinois State Police Precursor Tracking Program is slated for evaluation after eight months to determine the feasibility of a statewide system for monitoring purchases of methamphetamine precursors.
