The Department of Justice is investigating Bristol-Myers Squibb's proposed settlement with generic drug maker Apotex over the blockbuster anti-thrombotic Plavix (clopidogrel), the company announced during its earnings call July 27. FBI agents raided CEO Peter Dolan's office July 28 as part of the case, The Wall Street Journal reported. Bristol and Plavix partner Sanofi-Aventis entered into an agreement with Apotex, under which the brand companies would pay Apotex an undisclosed sum to postpone the generic launch.
