AMGEN INFERGEN: U.S. PATENT SUIT INITIATED on Dec. 3 in Wilmington, Del. federal court by Schering-Plough alleging that Infergen (consensus interferon) infringes Schering's interferon patent rights in the U.S. Since June 1994, Intron A (alpha-2b interferon) licensor Biogen has been engaged in a suit against Amgen, which alleges Infergen's infringement of Biogen's interferon patent in Japan.
