Physicians Formula prez appointed to Board

Jeff Rogers, president of Physicians Formula, has been appointed to the firm's board of directors, effective Jan. 2, replacing Craig Frances, M.D., who has resigned to devote time to other business activities, company says. Rogers became Physicians Formula's president in August 2006. Prior to that, he served as the company's senior VP of sales, having joined the firm in 1991 as a sales director. Rogers has 20 years of experience in the beauty industry and has held positions at Revlon and Del Laboratories, Physicians Formula notes. "Over the course of his sixteen-year career at Physicians Formula, Jeff's strong industry experience and focus on retail partner relationships have helped us expand our presence and achieve a leading position within the masstige market," CEO Ingrid Jackel says. Board member Jeff Berry will assume Frances' role as chair of the Compensation Committee, and board member Sonya Brown will join that committee and also become chair of the Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee
