Executive Summary
Having long recognized that certain populations, such as African-Americans, Asian-Americans and Hispanics, are dramatically underrepresented in US clinical research, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) and the National Minority Quality Forum have teamed up to change this situation. The two groups have unveiled a new national campaign, known as "I'm In," which aims not only to boost participation by minorities in drug trials, but also to establish a quicker and more efficient way to connect patients with study investigators1,2.
