Paul Lucas has been appointed chair of the board of directors of Canadian industry association Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies (Rx&D). Mr Lucas, the president and chief executive officer of GlaxoSmithKline in Canada, is a member of Rx&D's executive committee and has been vice chair of the board of directors; he was also previously appointed chair in 1999 and 2006.
