The Irvine, Calif.-based phytochemical firm announces July 21 its wholly-owned subsidiary has entered into a licensing agreement with the Research Foundation of the State University of New York, on behalf of SUNY Buffalo, to produce and market three classes of plant-based ingredients - anthocyanins, leucoanthocyanidins and anthocyanidins, the firm says in a release. The classes are all "plant-based colorants with strong antioxidant properties" and the firm plans to "represent the next 'super fruit' class of phytochemical ingredients," ChromaDex says.
