The Consumer Healthcare Products Association and the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America announce July 31 nine local communities will hold meetings in August about the dangers of teenagers abusing cough medicine to get high. In recognition of the first-ever National Medicine Abuse Awareness Month, communities such as Jefferson City, Mo. and San Diego will bring together parents, educators, retailers, law enforcement officials, health care professionals and others to raise awareness about OTC medicine abuse.
