The American Herbal Pharmacopoeia features samples of eleven different botanical materials in a newly released guide entitled Quality Botanical Macroscopy Profile, the group announces Sept. 8. The guide addresses the basic identify of the botanicals, as well as known substitutes and closely related species. It also provides information to help manufacturers identify plan materials to ensure authenticity and quality.
