Three related supplement companies have been engaged in deceptive advertising practices, according to a Nov. 10 complaint filed by FTC. The defendants are cited for claiming Thermalean combines the weight-loss benefits of three different prescription drugs and Lipodrene has been clinically proven to cause substantial and safe weight loss, FTC announces Nov. 30. Both products contained ephedra, but have not been marketed or sold since FDA banned the botanical earlier this year.
