Consulting firm Lewin Group will present results of a study on the healthcare cost impact of supplement use at a Sept. 22 House Government Reform/Human Rights & Wellness subcommittee hearing. The witness list includes Lewin Group researcher Allen Dobson, PhD, Cornell professor Barbara Levine, PhD, Natrol CEO/DSEA president Eliot Balbert and actress Marilu Henner. Balbert says the study, which includes a research literature review, "clearly demonstrates to legislators and other decision-makers that supplements have the potential to save healthcare dollars."
