University of British of Columbia trial, expected to begin in May, will examine effects of phytosterol and phytosterol/omega-3 softgel supplements on LDL cholesterol. Four-arm study will investigate sterol/omega combination, sterols only, omega-3 only and placebo. Protocol calls for lipid measurements after six-week treatment period and six-week washout.
