SalAc Foam

This article was originally published in The Tan Sheet

Executive Summary

Two percent salicylic acid foam formulation can be used as an acne wash or as a leave-on medication to help treat and prevent new acne, Malvern, Penn.-based Bioglan Pharma says. Product directions advise cleansing the affected area and applying the foam one to three times daily; the product can be used on the face, back and chest. A 100 g can will retail for $12-$14 and will appear next to SalAc Cleanser on food, drug and mass shelves beginning in several weeks. Print ads will highlight the item's "easy application" and "cosmetically elegant" properties, noting make-up can be applied immediately after using SalAc Foam. Bioglan also plans to market the product to dermatologists
