Park City, Utah supplement firm completes acquisition of Thompson Nutritional Products from Rexall Sundown. Thompson, a 65 year-old company bought by Rexall in 1990, manufactures and markets about 135 vitamin, mineral and other health care item SKUs in health food stores. Nutraceutical International brands, including Solaray, KAL, NaturalMax, VegLife and Action Labs, also are sold in health food channels. "We expect to spend some time revising and expanding Thompson's product line and will announce the re-introduction of the line in the near future," the company says. The sale of Thompson is not related to Rexall's recent merger with Royal Numico, but is part of the company's goal to focus on the mass market
