The NIH National Center for Complementary & Alternative Medicine is recruiting patients for its upcoming study on St. John's wort via a notice on its Web site. "Are you suffering from depression? Are you thinking of trying the popular herbal antidepressant St. John's wort, but you aren't sure how to take it or whether it will work? If so, you may want to participate in the St. John's wort study that the National Institutes of Health is funding," the notice says. The study has recruited about half of its participants (1"The Tan Sheet" Sept. 6, p. 12)
