Executive Summary
ASPIRIN REGULAR USE, COLORECTAL CANCER RISK SHOW "NO ASSOCIATION" in men ages 40 to 84 participating in the Physicians' Health Study, researchers report in the May 1 issue of the Annals of Internal Medicine. Conducted by Til Sturmer, MD, University of Ulm, Germany, and investigators from Brigham & Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health, the study results contradict earlier trial data suggesting a link between aspirin use and decreased risk of colorectal cancer incidence.
