Executive Summary
Ad with Utah Jazz forward Karl Malone will break April 6 and 7 on cable and network TV. The commercial will run on shows including "Politically Incorrect," "NYPD Blue," "The Tonight Show," and "Fox Night at the Movies," and also will receive extensive exposure during the NBA playoffs. The ad Malone in a barbershop, and a "before" picture of a balding Malone playing basketball is shown. Malone's barber is surprised at Malone's new hair, exclaiming, "Mailman! You grew hair!" The sports celebrity replies he was "a little skeptical about Rogaine at first," but decided to try Rogaine Extra Strength. After two months it began working, and "It's really coming in nice now," he says. FDA approved Rogaine Extra Strength, containing 5% minoxidil, in November.
