TPP is proposing that manufacturers be allowed to use the statement "Heavy smokers should increase their vitamin C intake up to 50% more than the average Recommended Nutrient Intake" in vitamin C-containing dietary supplement labeling and advertising. The average RNI is greater than 45 mg/day for women and greater than 60 mg/day for men.
