Executive Summary
DIETARY SUPPLEMENT EXPERT WORKING GROUPS CREATED BY FDA to advise the agency on issues related to dietary supplement Good Manufacturing Practices, post-marketing surveillance and consumer research. FDA will use the three working groups' proposals to carry out the recommendations in the final report of the President's Commission on Dietary Supplement Labels issued Nov. 24 ("The Tan Sheet" Dec. 1, 1997, pp. 1-4). The establishment of the working groups was announced at the Feb. 11-12 meeting of FDA's Food Advisory Committee in Arlington, Va.
