Executive Summary
WHITEHALL-ROBINS PEDIATRIC ADVIL DROPS READY TO HIT RETAIL following approval by FDA Jan. 30. Pediatric Advil suspension drops contain 100 mg ibuprofen per 2.5 mL, or one-half teaspoon. The product is targeted to two- to three-year-olds, offering another administration route to parents who would rather give their toddlers a more concentrated drop form of the analgesic than an oral suspension. Pediatric Advil will carry the same indications as the other pediatric Advil products: "For temporary relief of fever and minor aches and pains due to colds, flu, sore throat, headaches and toothaches." The drops work for six to eight hours.
