FOLATE, VITAMIN B6 MAY REDUCE RISK OF CORONARY HEART DISEASE in a prospective cohort study of 80,082 female nurses, Eric Rimm, Harvard School of Public Health, et al., report in the Feb. 4 Journal of the American Medical Association. A subset of the Nurses' Health Study, the 14-year study examined the relationship of folate and vitamin B6 intake and the incidence of fatal CHD and nonfatal myocardial infarction.
