COLGATE TOTAL, NIZORAL AD AMONG MAJOR 1997 OTC APPROVALS by FDA, based on a review of direct-to-OTC and Rx-to-OTC switch approvals during the year. Other prominent OTC NDA approvals included Pharmacia & Upjohn's Rogaine Extra Strength, Bristol-Myers Squibb's Vagistat-1 and two others by Johnson & Johnson companies: Nasalcrom, acquired by Pharmacia & Upjohn in June from NDA sponsor McNeil, and McNeil's Imodium Advanced. Nizoral AD will be marketed by the Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products Group
