AMERICAN HERBAL PHARMACOPOEIA VALERIAN, HAWTHORN MONOGRAPHS February release will be followed by six to eight other herbal mono-graphs expected to be published in 1998, the Santa Cruz, Calif.-based educational foundation said. Following the issuance of the valerian and hawthorn monographs, the group expects to disseminate a new monograph every two months, covering such botanicals as reishi mushroom, schisandra, uva ursi, salix and ashwagananda. The industry-funded foundation plans to develop monographs for approximately 300 herbals.
