SUNSCREENS ROUTINELY USED BY 47% OF SUNBATHERS, with 53% of women reporting use of sunscreens and 36% of men, according to the results of a national study on sunbathing habits and sunscreen use among white adults in the U.S. The study, published in the July issue of the American Journal of Public Health, additionally found that only 25% of sunbathers surveyed "routinely" used sunscreens with the recommended SPF of 15 or higher.
