VAGINAL DOUCHE USER "BEHAVIORAL" DATA NEEDED, members of FDA's OB-GYN Devices Panel and the Nonprescription Drugs Advisory Committee commented at an April 15 meeting in Gaithersburg, Md. Susan Reverby, PhD, Wellesley College, the consumer rep for the OB-GYN panel, pointed out that while "it's critical to do the science" regarding the possible dangers of douching, "one of the other things that absolutely needs to be done is to understand why women do it, how they learn to do it, what docs have told or not told them...the behavioral aspect."
