VAGINAL MICROBICIDE CLINICAL TRIALS OF "VEHICLES ALONE" RECOMMENDED by Lynn McKinley-Grant, MD, Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C., during a Nov. 20-22 joint meeting of the Nonprescription Drugs, Reproductive Health Drugs, Anti-Infective Drugs and Antiviral Drugs Advisory Committees in Gaithersburg, Md. Among other issues, the joint committee was asked by FDA to comment on "the role of preclinical and early clinical studies in the development" of vaginal microbicidal products.
