PRIVATE SECTOR BOTANICAL INGREDIENT REVIEW PANEL SUPPORTED BY NNFA, National Nutritional Foods Association Executive Director Michael Ford said in September 12 comments to the Commission on Dietary Supplement Labels. NNFA "believes the use of botanicals in dietary supplements should be reviewed and assessed by independent experts," specifically, "a privately formed body, financed by the private sector, and not by a government agency or group," the letter states.
