Executive Summary

LIFE PLUS' ADS FOR SHAPE PLUS AND ENDOGEN REFERRED TO FTC after the company declined to provide supporting documentation requested by the National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus. NAD said in a case report that it "concluded" that Life Plus "has refused to participate in the self-regulatory process" and therefore the watchdog group forwarded the ads in question and its file on the matter to the Federal Trade Commission. The ad claims related to weight loss.
