HOUSE FDA REFORM MARK-UP TARGETED FOR WEEK OF JULY 8, Rep. Jim Greenwood (R-Pa.) told a National Health Council meeting in Washington, D.C. June 20. A mark-up of reform legislation in the House Commerce/health subcommittee has been delayed until after the July 4 recess as a result of a June 18 meeting between Greenwood, who is managing the House FDA reform effort, and FDA Commissioner David Kessler. Earlier, at a June 17 meeting held by the Progress & Freedom Foundation on Capitol Hill, Greenwood had announced that subcommittee mark-up would be scheduled for the week of June 24.
