HERBAL INGREDIENT REVIEW COMMITTEE TO ADDRESS LABEL CLAIMS for ingredients that have not been assessed by other available models was suggested by American Herbal Product Association President Michael McGuffin at the April 26 meeting of the Commission on Dietary Supplement Labels. Such a committee could be charged with collecting "whatever information is available" on an ingredient and determining a "mechanism for an appropriate claim," McGuffin noted.
