Alcohol warning on analgesics: In a March 25 response to FDA's recent letter on its plans for a proposal on alcohol warnings for all analgesics, the Nonprescription Drug Manufacturers Association says it forwarded the agency's letter to its internal analgesic task force, covered the subject in a March 18 special issue of its Active Member Report, and provided the letter to the NDMA executive committee and board of directors on March 20 and 21. In the March 14 letter, FDA said the upcoming proposal will "encourage" manufacturers to "voluntarily" implement the warning prior to a final rule ("The Tan Sheet" March 25, p. 1)...
