Executive Summary
WORKSHOP ON ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE THERAPIES FOR HIV recommended by NIH AIDS Research Program Evaluation Working Group in a report released March 13. Commissioned by the National Institutes of Health's Office of AIDS Research Advisory Council, the working group suggested that OAR and NIH's Office of Alternative Medicine co-sponsor a workshop on the research methodologies currently used to assess the "efficacy" of complementary and alternative medicine therapies for HIV.
