Dollar sales of vitamins in mass merchandisers grew at more than twice the rate of growth than in drug stores (up 8%) or food outlets (up 9%). The data was presented by IRI VP Mike Sinco at the Council for Responsible Nutrition annual meeting in Lake Tahoe, Calif. on Sept. 19.
