ZANTAC 75 LABEL STUDY FINDS AVERAGE COMPREHENSION OF APPROXIMATELY 90%, Glaxo consultant Bernard Schachtel, MD, McGill University, told a joint meeting of FDA's Gastrointestinal Drugs and Nonprescription Drugs Advisory Committees on July 13. Glaxo conducted the study "to determine the proportion of unsupervised consumers who conclude correctly that Zantac 75 [ranitidine] is appropriate for them to use" and "to determine if there are differences in their comprehension of...two proposed labels," Schachtel explained.
