Schering-Plough underwriting SunCast UV Index; TV spots to cover 527 locations.

Executive Summary

SCHERING-PLOUGH's SUNCAST UV INDEX AVAILABLE TO OVER 350 LOCAL TV STATIONS, in addition to the Weather Channel, Cable News Network and USA Today, through an agreement with Orbital Sciences. SunCast UV Forecast Service, launched the week of May 21, is "intended to extend the impact and reach of the UV Index reports now made available free to 58 cities by the National Weather Service," Schering-Plough said. SunCast will provide information to 527 locations. Schering-Plough said it will underwrite the SunCast service, although the company's name and products, such as Coppertone sunscreens, will not be featured in the service.
