Executive Summary
HAZARDOUS DRUG PRODUCTS STANDARDIZED SYMBOL is a one-color graphic that will "identify drug products hazardous to handlers exposed during drug distribution processes," the U.S. Pharmacopeia said. The symbol, proposed in the November-December issue of Pharmacopeial Forum, will be "appropriate for all levels of packaging, including final packages intended for the patient," USP said.
