DIBUCAINE/LIDOCAINE CRPs' POTENTIAL INTERFERENCE WITH "SENIOR- FRIENDLY" TESTING protocol being developed by the Consumer Product Safety Commission was raised as an issue by CPSC's commissioners at a Sept. 21 meeting. The meeting was held to consider a CPSC staff briefing package recommending child-resistant packaging for OTC topical anesthetics containing more than 5 mg lidocaine and .5 mg dibucaine ("The Tan Sheet" Sept. 5, p. 11).
