LABEL WARNING FOR ALCOHOL-CONTAINING MOUTHWASHES NOT WARRANTED at this time, the OTC Plaque Products Subcommittee of FDA's Dental Products Panel concluded at its June 28-29 meeting. In a draft statement suggested to the subcommittee as a starting point for a formal recommendation, Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association VP-Science Gerald McEwen, PhD, stated that "at present the panel does not believe the data are sufficient to recommend any changes in the current consumer products user practice."
