Executive Summary
Consistent users of aspirin have a lower risk of new large- bowel adenomas after one year of study compared to patients who did not report using aspirin, concluded a study by E. R. Greenberg, Dartmouth Medical School, et al. Published in the June 1 issue of the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, the study emphasizes that "nevertheless, the question of whether aspirin should be used to prevent large-bowel tumors would be best answered by a randomized controlled clinical trial specifically designed to address this issue".
