Executive Summary
Ortho and Schering-Plough HealthCare received approvable letters from FDA on Jan. 29 for supplemental NDAs covering combination packs of Monistat-7 and Gyne-Lotrimin, respectively ("The Tan Sheet" March 15, In Brief). Schering has already begun marketing to the trade its Gyne-Lotrimin packs of clotrimazole 1% cream and 100 mg inserts. Reportedly, Schering's combination product will carry a premium price to the currently marketed Gyne- Lotrimin cream.
