AmerisourceBergen elects chairman

AmerisourceBergen taps Richard Gozon to replace James Mellor as chairman of its board of directors. The appointment is contingent on his re-election as a director during the company's Feb. 9, 2006 annual stockholders meeting. Mellor will retire at the meeting as required by the company's mandatory retirement provisions. A member of the board of directors since the company's creation in August 2001, Gozon previously served as director of AmeriSource Health Corp. for seven years and was exec VP of Weyerhaeuser Corp. from 1994 until his retirement in 2002...
