MEDCO REFRIGERATED AND NARCOTIC Rxs BEING SHIPPED BY FedEx, U.S. MAIL during the UPS employees' strike. Merck-Medco said its mail-order shipments of refrigerated and narcotic pharmaceuticals, which comprise a small volume of Medco's total mail-order prescriptions and are normally handled by UPS, were switched to the other carriers on July 28, prior to the start of the strike by United Parcel Service delivery personnel. The mail-order pharmacy added that it would go back to using UPS for those deliveries when the strike is over.
