QUINTILES TO ACQUIRE BRI FOR $127.3 MIL. under a letter-of-intent agreement announced July 31. The transaction would be executed through the exchange of all BRI International stock for 1.9 mil. shares of Quintiles stock, which closed the day preceding the announcement at $67 per share.
