GPIA TO APPEAL FEDERAL COURT RULING ON WAXMAN/HATCH PLUS GATT EXTENSIONS delivered Oct. 16 by the Alexandria, Va. federal court. The Generic Pharmaceutical Industry Association will file a notice of appeal the week of Oct. 23 seeking to restore the Patent & Trademark Office position that pharmaceutical patents that received 20-year from filing terms under the General Agreement on Tariffs & Trade may not add existing Waxman/Hatch time to the new terms.
