EXOCRINE PANCREATIC INSUFFICIENCY DRUGS WILL BE Rx-ONLY EFFECTIVE OCT. 24 under a final rule published in the April 24 Federal Register. "Continuous physician monitoring of patients who take these drug products is a collateral measure necessary to the safe and effective use of these enzymes, causing such products to be available by prescription only," FDA explained.
