VACCINE "VERTICAL DEVELOPMENT" WORKSHOP PROPOSED by the Future Vaccines Subcommittee of the National Vaccine Advisory Committee at its Jan. 20 meeting. The workshop would focus on issues in multiple stages of vaccine development from discovery through postmarketing regulation with the goal of producing "a piece of paper at the end of it" to disseminate information produced at the meeting, subcommittee Chair Barry Bloom, PhD, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, said. The subcommittee will address logistics for the workshop at a later meeting.
