COLORADO "CONSUMER'S RIGHT" PHARMACY FREEDOM OF CHOICE BILL vetoed April 15 by Governor Roy Romer (D), who said: "I'm convinced that this bill would raise the costs of prescription drugs." He also argued that there could be the "unintended consequence of reducing consumer access to pharmacies." The governor maintained that the bill (SB 98) creates "incentives for HMOs to use their own pharmacies rather than contract with local pharmacies."
