Signs licensing agreement with SunPharm Corp. of Gainesville, Fla. for exclusive worldwide rights (excluding Japan) for anticancer drug diethylnorspermine (DENSPM). Under the agreement, Warner-Lambert will make payments of up to $7.1 mil. to fund Phase I trials of the polyamine analog, which alters the metabolism of cancer cells. SunPharm plans to file an IND by end of second quarter.
